Reciting Letters ~Changes in Calligraphy Witnessed in Hakutsuru Collection~ / Carpets -Written Shapes and Characters-
Among many collections stored in Hakatsuru Museum, you can see on many of them beautifully written kanji characters. Ancient Chinese ceramics with inscriptions written 3,000 years ago, being a national treasures Buddhist sutras from Nara Period, representing Buddhism from that period such as \"Bālapaṇḍita-sutta\" or \"Instruction manual of the Nirvana Sutra\", also songs from Heian period written on a colored paper, talisman-like ceramics for happy life and wealth and more. During the exhibition, through our collection we would like to introduce you to the vast world and history of calligraphy and how it changed throughout the years. Additionally, in the New Annex of the museum, you can see objects, symbols and writings put into the carpets.
