The Shinkaichi area has undergone much changes since Takataya was established 80 years ago. Emploees working here are all women but the owner, so they can provide careful services as if you were at your home.The carefully prepared soy-flavored dashi broth used to boil the oden has been continuously topped up since Takataya’s establishment only interrupted once at the time of the Great Hanshin Earthquake. The oden copper pot he uses to slowly simmer the 20 or more ingredients was specially ordered by the owner. Relax in the warm, cozy atmosphere at this long-established restaurant offering freshly cooked food served by motherly staff.
