The Center for Humanitarian & Disaster Reduction is a disaster prevention learning facility that tells the experience and lessons of the Great Hanshin-Awaji earthquake to future generations and learns of future preparation.
The "1.17 Theater" on the 4th floor of the West Building makes use of special effects and CG to reproduce the moment of the earthquake occurrence.
You can experience the tremendous earthquake with large images and sound.
