A private art museum holding collections of Japanese and oriental art by Ryuhei Murayama (Kaoru snow) founded by Asahi Shimbun. It covers the a wide range of different types of art including paintings, books, swords and armor, Buddhist art and tea ceremony, with 19 important cultural properties and 22 important works of art. For each theme, a differen exhibition is chosen. In addition, Western houses and Japanese pavilions (normally not closed) built by the Murayama family during the Meiji and Taisho periods, designated as important cultural assets, are located here.
